Throughout my life Barbara always showed me nothing but kindness. She was a lovely person, good natured and always quick to smile or laugh and she always had a twinkle in her eye. If I had to describe her in a single word, it would be chirpy. My fondest memories of Barbara were when we used to visit her and Grandad just before Christmas, and go and sing Christmas carols in the church. She would stand there alongside my mum and sister, all singing in lovely voices, and enjoying the chance to sing their favourite carols with other people. Our voices not being quite so good, Grandad, my dad and I would shuffle our feet and try to sing as quietly as we could! We’d then go back to Grandad and Barbara’s house, exchange presents and eat cake. Lovely memories. Lots of love Duncan
